Expensive clicks, expensive cases.
South Florida cosmetic and implant terms cost real money. The account only works if the consult converts.
An affluent, appearance-driven auction.
Boca Raton's patient base is affluent, older on average, and unusually attentive to appearance. Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, implants, full-arch restoration and comprehensive restorative work carry the economics. Family volume exists but will not fund the practice.
The auction reflects that. South Florida cosmetic and implant keywords are among the most expensive in dental paid search, and groups with large budgets bid on them all year.
That makes the click price a fixed cost you mostly cannot negotiate. What you can change is how many of those clicks turn into a consult and how many consults turn into started treatment.
You cannot out-bid Boca. You can out-convert it.
Do not lead with price.
Discount messaging in this market signals that you are not the practice these patients are looking for. They can pay. What they are buying is confidence in the provider and the outcome.
Financing should exist and be explained clearly, but it belongs below the fold, not in the headline. The headline should be about the result and the experience.
Trust assets do the heavy lifting: professional photography of the facility, current reviews, before-and-after galleries, credentials and team bios. A practice with weaker bids and stronger trust assets routinely outperforms the reverse.
Measure consults, not leads.
In a market where one case can be worth many months of ad spend, cost per lead is close to meaningless. Track consult booking rate, consult show rate, consult-to-start rate by service line, and cost per started case.
The consult itself is where the money is won. These patients expect time, explanation and a written plan. A rushed consult loses cases that excellent clinical work would have kept.
Then follow up. A structured sequence over the first week after the consult recovers cases you already paid for. It is the highest-return activity in a high-ticket practice and most offices do not have one written down.
A patient who leaves with an estimate and no appointment is a case you bought and did not collect.
The numbers that actually matter.
| Metric | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per click (cosmetic / implant) | Very high | Among the most expensive dental auctions in the country |
| Cost per lead | High | Case value can support it if consults convert |
| Average case value | Very high | Cosmetic and full-arch mix |
| Seasonal demand | Meaningful | Cooler months bring seasonal residents |
| Decisive metric | Consult-to-start rate | Everything else is secondary |
| Trust assets | High impact | Photography, reviews and galleries move conversion |
Ranges are planning benchmarks from accounts we run, not guarantees. Your numbers move with capacity, close rate, and how fast you answer the phone.
Five choices for a Boca Raton dental account.
- Lead with outcome and expertise
Credentials, galleries and patient stories. Never a discount headline.
- Invest in the trust layer
Professional facility photography and recent reviews beat higher bids.
- Track consult-to-start by service line
One blended lead number will hide which campaign is actually working.
- Build a completing-treatment page
Seasonal residents arriving with outside plans are underserved demand.
- Write the post-consult follow-up sequence
Seven structured days recovers cases you already paid to create.
Do this this week
- 1
Replace any discount-led headline with an outcome-led one and measure the change in consult rate.
- 2
Book professional photography of the facility and refresh the before-and-after gallery.
- 3
Set up conversion tracking that reports started cases, not just form fills.
- 4
Write a seven-day post-consult follow-up sequence and assign an owner.
- 5
Fill in the new-patient worksheet below and calculate cost per started case by service line.
Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller earns its afternoon here. High-ticket Boca pages fail when they list the practice's technology instead of describing the patient's outcome.
Things worth bookmarking.
A long, unhyped walkthrough of campaign structure, conversion tracking, and keyword selection for medical and dental practices. Worth the runtime if you or your office manager touch the account directly.

Common questions
- What kind of dental demand does Boca Raton produce?
- Affluent, appearance-conscious and older on average. Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, implants, full-arch restoration and comprehensive restorative work dominate the economics. Family volume exists but rarely carries a practice here.
- How competitive is the Boca auction?
- Expensive. South Florida cosmetic and implant terms are among the priciest in dental paid search, and both independents and groups bid aggressively. Winning is usually about consult conversion and trust assets rather than out-bidding the market.
- Should we compete on price or financing?
- Neither as the headline. This patient base can pay. Financing should be available and clearly explained, but the message that converts is expertise, outcome and experience. Discount positioning actively undermines credibility here.
- How much do seasonal residents matter?
- Enough to plan for. The cooler months bring seasonal residents, many with treatment plans from a dentist up north. A page about second opinions and completing treatment locally captures demand most competitors ignore.
- What converts a high-ticket Boca patient?
- Professional facility photography, current reviews, before-and-after galleries, clear credentials, and a consult that takes time and produces a written plan with a scheduled next step. Those beat bid adjustments consistently.
- What should we track?
- Consult booking rate, consult show rate, consult-to-start rate by service line, and cost per started case. Cost per lead is nearly meaningless in a market where one case can be worth many months of ad spend.
